Intelligent FRAC is a Linux release of an old 3D packing (tetris-like) game with new features. It is available in svgalib and X11 implementations. It supports all color modes, from 4 to 32bpp, and therefore will run on any video card (even those not supported directly by svgalib). The X11 module can run in window (X11 generic) and full screen (XFree86-DGA 2.0) modes by changing and restoring video mode if necessary. Other features include joystick support, an option to choose your favourite music to play, volume control, and a demo mode.
Sing Along Disc Player is an enhanced CD player for Linux. It features a control panel, a spectrum analyser, an oscillator, a mixer, an active icon that can be docked with Window Maker, and a dual-window mode (both windows at same time), and has basic support for CD multichanger, CD-TEXT, and CD-EXTRA extensions. It keeps a local database and can access remote CD databases to retrieve or submit your disc information. It allows you to pick your choice of compression type, multiple preference sets (play lists and skip lists), ability to store volumes for a particular CD, and read-only access to old sadp, Workman, and xmcd-style data bases.
wmalms monitors data obtained from a sensor chip: temperature, fan speed, and voltage. It can be used as a dockable/swallowed applet with Window Maker, BlackBox and clones (fluxbox, pwm, etc.), or any window manager that supports swallowing, including Afterstep, GNOME 1, kwm 1 (KDE), fvwm, and their clones. Alternatively, you can run wmalms as a normal window with any window manager. wmalms is designed to suit any hardware supported by lm_sensors. It provides a wide range of customized features, including window appearence, order and representation of sensor data, refresh frequency, alarm mode, etc.
xhkeys allows you to assign an action to any key that is otherwise unused in X (such as the "menu" key on a 105 key keyboard, extra keys on some keyboard models, or odd keys on laptops). The action assigned to a key or key combination (key and modifiers) can be a builtin operation, a call to an external application, the sending of a key event (simulating a key press/release), or the sending of a mouse button event (simulating a button press/release). It also features plug-in support and on-screen display.
Intelligent Tetris can also play itself. There are no predesigned scenario: tiles fall in random order, as usual. It has an original design, keeps list of top scores, and takes advantage of colours (but also works in 16-color mode). Optional features include the ability to nominate your favourite music for each speed level, and joystick support.
wmxkb shows and controls XKB groups (XFree86 key maps). It can be used as a dockable/swallowed applet with Window Maker, BlackBox and clones (fluxbox, pwm, etc), or any window manager that supports swallowing, including Afterstep, GNOME 1, kwm 1 (KDE), fvwm, and clones. It can also be run in a normal window with any window manager. wmxkb gets group names and codes straight from XKB, features individual font and colour settings for each key group, assigns additional keys for switching groups,or setting a particular group, and can bind a shell script to run whenever a particular group is activated.
