slfm is a simple firewall monitor that processes iptables log messages and informs the user of attempts to access unauthorized services on the machine. It also lets the user set up actions to take in response to these packets if desired using a simple but powerful expression handling system.

mbox2mysql takes mailbox files used by email clients and stores the messages in a MySQL database. Messages can be searched, sorted, and filtered by sending SQL queries to the database. Results are output on the console, so selected messages can be extracted from the database and stored back in mbox format for use with your favourite email client. Email attachments can also be extracted and saved from selected messages.

Quickrun is a very simple command launcher aimed for use with window managers like Fluxbox and Blackbox, though it also works perfectly well with Enlightenment, KDE, and others. Its features include a history list and filename/command completion. It is not a dockable applet, but instead requires a keybinding (shortcut) to be set in order to use it.

IRC Chess is a 2-player chess game for IRC. It consists of a Java chess server, with frontend scripts to convert an IRC client into a chess bot. Players then communicate with the bot using standard IRC commands, and don't require any special software to play. Frontend scripts are available for IRSSI and X-Chat.
