What does this provide?
How is using this daemon different in end result functionality than just setting the appropriate options in XF86CONFIG
Brilliant idea, but slight execution problem.
At least, I can't execute it. ;)
I've tried building it both on my FreeBSD 4-Stable system and my Slackware 9.0 system and I have the same problem with both. The software will build and the daemon run, but it immediately drops any connections.
bash-2.05a$ telnet localhost 6667
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost
Escape character is '^]'.
Connection closed by foreign host.
I've checked hosts.allow even though I turned off tcpd support, just in case. What obvious newbie error am I making here? :)
