OSSP ex is a small ISO-C++ style exception handling library for use in the ISO-C language. It allows you to use the paradigm of throwing and catching exceptions in order to reduce the amount of error handling code without making your program less robust. This is achieved by directly transferring exceptional return codes (and the program control flow) from the location where the exception is raised (throw point) to the location where it is handled (catch point), usually from a deeply nested sub-routine to a parent routine. All intermediate routines no longer have to make sure that the exceptional return codes from sub-routines are correctly passed back to the parent.

OSSP sa is an abstraction library for the Unix socket application programming interface (API). It features stream and datagram oriented communication over Unix Domain and Internet Domain (TCP and UDP) sockets. It provides the following key features: address abstraction (local, IPv4, and IPv6), type abstraction, I/O timeouts, I/O stream buffering, and convenience I/O functions.

Generic JTAPI, JAIN JCC, and JAIN Jcat is a framework to allow for the rapid development of Java telephony specification implementations. It does this by reducing the "service provider" coding requirements by an order of magnitude and by providing common services. Also included are sample service providers, including layered providers that can be combined with others to support multiplexing, JAIN JCC support, JAIN Jcat (preliminary), and and remote access.

AutoScrapbook helps automate the creation and maintenance of an online photo gallery. It creates the thumbnails and Web pages for you by asking you for descriptions of the pictures. It works best when run under Linux and within X (for picture viewing), but you could use it through only a terminal and a separate browser if necessary. It can optionally allow you to delete, rename, and rotate images during the description process. It can also use the programs exif, exiftags, and/or jhead to access EXIF data from the images and/or store descriptions within the JPEG header. Note that this program creates a static Web site around existing images, using the existing directory structure as the heirarchy for the Web site.

OSSP var is a flexible, full-featured, and fast variable construct expansion library. It supports a configurable variable construct syntax very similar to the style found in many scripting languages (like @name, ${name}, $(name), etc.) and provides both simple scalar (${name}) and array (${name[index]}) expansion, plus optionally one or more post-operations on the expanded value (${name:op:op...}). The supported post-operations are length determination, case conversion, defaults, postive and negative alternatives, sub-strings, regular expression-based substitutions, character translations, and padding. Additionally, a meta-construct plus arithmetic expressions for index and range calculations allow (even nested) iterations over array variable expansions (..[..${name[#+1]}..]..). The actual variable value lookup is performed through a callback function, so OSSP var can expand arbitrary values.

Light Lab is a hybrid GTK/OpenGL program for experimenting with the OpenGL lighting model. It lets you set the colors and positions of three GTK light sources and watch the effect they have on a simple 3D scene containing a rotating sphere, cube, tube, cone, or teapot, with an optional texture map.

h5utils is a set of utilities for visualization and conversion of scientific data in the free, portable HDF5 format. Besides providing a simple tool for batch visualization as PNG images, h5utils also includes programs to convert HDF5 datasets into the formats required by other free visualization software (e.g., plain text, Vis5d, and VTK).

Pop 26.38
Vit 2.65

OSSP val is a flexible name-to-value mapping library for ISO-C variables. It allows one to access ISO-C variables through name strings, although the ISO-C language provides neither such a dedicated facility nor an evaluation construct (which could be used to implement such a facility easily). In general, this is used for accessing ISO-C variables without having to know the actual symbol/address. The typical use cases are in combination with flexible configuration parsing and supporting loosely-coupled DSO-based module architectures.
