Download Website 07 May 22:33 StoryText 3.11

StoryText (formerly PyUseCase) is an unconventional GUI testing tool written in Python. It currently has mature support for PyGTK, beta status support for Java Swing, SWT/Eclipse RCP, and Tkinter, and very basic support for wxPython. Instead of recording GUI mechanics directly, it asks the user for descriptive names and hence builds up a "domain language" along with a "UI map file" that translates it into the current GUI layout. Instead of an "assertion" mechanism, it auto-generates a log of the GUI appearance and changes to it, so as to use that as a baseline for text-based testing, using e.g. TextTest. Instead of requiring the tester to add "wait" statements by hand, it includes support for instrumenting code so that "waits" can be recorded.

Release Notes: The PyGTK part now supports FileChooser synchronization in GTK+ >= 2.20. The Java GUI parts (SWT/Eclipse/Swing) can now disable Jython cache (recommended). The Eclipse RCP part now handles the latest Jython version (2.5.3), and supports NatTables. The Swing part works around an Abbot bug with closing windows being very slow.

Download Website 07 May 22:27 Coquelicot 0.9.3

Coquelicot is a “one-click” file sharing Web application with a focus on protecting users’ privacy. Its basic principle is that users can upload a file to the server, and in return they get a unique URL which can be shared with others in order to download the file. Release Notes: No super fancy new features, but “sub-directory” installation support, a Spanish translation, and a new LDAP authentication method. The rest is mostly about keeping pace with the Ruby ecosystem. This release should work fine with Ruby 1.9.1, 2.0, and 2.1.

Download Website 07 May 22:26 Unicorn 4.8.3

Unicorn is a Unix and LAN/localhost-optimized fork of the Mongrel HTTP server. It takes full advantage of functionality exclusive to Unix-like operating systems. It will reap and restart workers that die from broken apps, and there is no need to manage multiple processes yourself. Load balancing is done entirely by the operating system kernel. Requests never pile up behind a busy worker. The server does not care if your application is thread-safe or not, as workers all run within their own isolated address space and only serve one client at a time. All Rack applications are supported along with pre-Rack versions of Ruby on Rails via a Rack wrapper. It also supports atomic log cycling, nginx-style binary re-execution without losing connections, before_fork and after_fork hooks, and optional copy-on-write-friendly memory management.

Release Notes: This release updates the documentation to reflect the migration of the mailing list to a new location.
