BlogMax makes it easy to use Emacs to maintain a Web log. You define templates and an FTP site for uploads. Most of your site's content is defined by text files. Saving a text file automatically wraps the template around it, expands macros and shortcuts, and saves the HTML file. Other commands in "weblog" mode upload files via FTP, create an RSS file, yank links or blockquotes into the buffer, create shortcuts, etc. The BlogMax Web site was, of course, created with BlogMax. It has been tested in Emacs 20.3.1 on Windows and Emacs 20.4.1 on Mandrake Linux.

cspot is a semantic annotator designed only for the C programming language. It is quite similar to cscope, but some more functionality. It can be used to find the declarations, definitions, and usages of functions, variables, macros, typedefs, and structs. It can also find visible identifiers at some position in the source, functions called by a function, global variables used by a function, usages of local variable declarations, unused global variables, unused function definitions, and more. Because it uses sparse, cspot knows more about semantics than cscope.

Ecf (Emacs Configuration Framework) is a versatile configuration package for Emacs. It is meant for users whose Emacs configuration has become so complex that it appears to be unmanageable. It enables you to write and load the configuration for individual Emacs packages in pieces. You can use it to setup some autoloads for a package when you start Emacs and then do extra configuration after the package has loaded. This speeds up your Emacs startup without compromising your ability to do complicated things.

Ymacs is an extensible AJAX text editor aimed for programmers. It's similar in spirit, features, and key bindings to Emacs: it supports multiple buffers, split frames, dynamic completion, multiple keymaps, and Emacs-like undo queue and kill ring. And of course, Emacs-like key bindings for all of that. It provides syntax highlighting and automatic indentation for a few programming modes, currently JavaScript, XML, CSS, and Lisp. Ymacs is based on the DynarchLIB AJAX toolkit and currently runs on Firefox (support for more browsers is planned). It's implemented in JavaScript and can be programmed in JavaScript as it's running.
