Yet another Pager Software

YaPS (Yet anothewr Paging Software) is primarily designed to send message to pager devices (including cellular phones) which are able to receive SMS. It is a simple command-line driven program with a global and a personal configuration file, but the protocol implementation is kept as a seperate library. YAPS can transfer Pager Messages with UCP, TAP, and Script Protocol.

Release Notes: Added a second checking scheme, cost calculation, a final status report, reading of pager-id/message pairs from a file, support for lua (another scripting language), and enhanced logfile handling. The porting approach has been removed; it should be done by someone who has access to the relevant OS.

Hi, I send the Author of this software a Mail, and he
told me, that he has no time to program yaps any more (or set up a faq or webpage).

I (sven at anders-hamburg dot de) would maintain this program if nessasary (but I have also not much time), so if you like to join, please send me a mail.
