WidgetFX is a fully functional docking system for desktop widgets with support for translucency, shaped windows, resizing, configuration, and one-click installation. WidgetFX is written in JavaFX Script, and can be run on any platform where Java is supported.

    Release Notes: A new SlideShow Widget uses the XShelf control from JFXtras and allows you to flip through your image library. Improved Auto-start fixes issues with 64-bit and International Windows systems. There is a new certificate (good for another year). Several bugs have been fixed, most notably a user-reported OOM issue.

      Release Notes: This brings the project up to speed with the latest JavaFX 1.2 release, and includes many bugfixes and improvements to the framework. Major changes include: improved performance, built-in layouts, signed widgets, additional API hooks, and Mac OS X bugfixes.

        Release Notes: This release contains some important incremental improvements, including improved performance, offline support, scaling of non-resizable widgets, experimental theme support, and lots of small bugfixes. The next time you restart WidgetFX, it will automatically download the update.

          Release Notes: This release is targeted at developers who are interested in authoring new desktop widgets. Widgets can be written in a combination of JavaFX Script and Java to take advantage of a very rich platform for graphics, animation, and media capabilities. To simplify development, the WidgetFX SDK ships with a lightweight Widget Runner, full API documentation, and a Getting Started tutorial.
