wgrab is a Perl script for for retrieving Web documents from the command line. It allows you to use date-based and/or number-based patterns to specify the documents to download. Regular expressions can be used to restrict which references are to be followed when performing recursive retrieval.

    Release Notes: A feature to rewrite links in the downloaded documents (for local use) has been added. All references to non-downloaded entities are made absolute, and all references to downloaded entities are made relative.

      Release Notes: An option was added to print the text (found via regexp) instead of interpreting it as the URL to get and save. wgrab can now be used to extract texts such as news headlines from foreign websites.
