Easy SVN Browser

Easy SVN is a subversion browser via the Web. It's easy because only a command line svn program and Perl are required to run it; no extra software needs to be installed. After configuring the Perl script as cgi-bin program, SVN repositories can be navigated, and entries viewed for contents, history, and diffs.

Release Notes: This version embeds a Javascript tooltip library to show "onmouseover" tips for all icons in the SVN viewer. The display of the contents of very wide files was fixed (previously the display would scale badly in some browsers). There are other small code changes and documentation updates.

Release Notes: The output of the repository "diff" screens has been enhanced. For every listed version, the differences with its predecessor are listed. One screen thereby shows the evolution of a file, from release 1 up until its current state.

Release Notes: The configuration settings in cgi-bin/web-svn-view can now be overridden by environment variables. That makes it possible to re-use the same SVN browser to view many repositories, based on environment variables passed by the Web server. The documentation was updated with an example.

Release Notes: The generated HTML has been cleaned up. The list of files rendered in a browser window was extended. Repository entries containing quotes or spaces are now handled correctly.

Release Notes: In the file contents display, repository contents can be rendered in the browser. For example, when viewing a .jpg or .png that is stored in the SVN repository, the corresponding image is rendered. Other files, such as sources, are of course still displayed by their contents, as simple text. All of this is configurable in the script.
