White Box Enterprise Linux is a project whose goal is to build a freely redistributable distribution based on the SRPMS for Red Hat, Inc.'s Enterprise Linux 3.0. It is meant to remain close enough to the original to share its errata SRPMS, binary modules, and 3rd party packages.

Release Notes: This version included all errata released by Red Hat through May 31, 2004, an x86_64 port, and an FC2 Up2date ported in for transparent mirror support. rhn-applet was fixed and added to the default install. 3rd party package repo support was improved, and Tora was linked against Oracle 10g and MySQL.

Release Notes: This is the second, and hopefully final, release candidate for White Box Enterprise Linux 3.0. There are not many differences from RC1. yum was ported in from Fedora. up2date was ported from Fedora and patched to remove trademarks. Lots of minor bugfixes were made.
