Release Notes: This release uses the fuser command to determine whether a device is in use, and can optionally be configured to raise an error or signal the offending processes. Also, under kernel 2.6, it now fully matches SCSI host, bus, ID, and LUN.

Release Notes: A potential security problem where anyone with sudo access to run the program could unmount devices other than those mounted under the USB mount was fixed. A dirsync was added to help prevent data loss when a device is yanked out. The mount options were cleaned up, and VFAT handling was added. An option was included for systems that don't use alphabetic device names, and an option to try and resolve the issues with devices with no partitions was implemented.

Release Notes: The cleanup procedure for handling detached devices that haven't first been unmounted was tidied up. This cleanup feature is now supported on Linux 2.6. The tidyup has eliminated the need to cache partition info in /var/run/usb, although the directory is still needed for a lock file, and code has been added to create the directory if it doesn't already exist. The use of the MOUNT_OPTIONS setting was fixed in the case where the optional disktype utility wasn't installed. Minor message improvements were also made.
