The USB/IP Project

The USB/IP Project aims to develop a general USB device sharing system over IP networks. To share USB devices between computers with their full functionality, USB/IP encapsulates USB protocols into IP packets and transmits them between computers.

      Release Notes: This release supports Linux 2.6.14.

        Release Notes: A lot of bugs have been fixed, and small improvements in the userland tool were implemented. This release supports Linux 2.6.13.x.

          Release Notes: The event handler daemon is added. In stub.ko, sysfs is now used instead of procfs. In vhci.ko, multiple ports are emulated. More cleanups have been done. However, please note that it's still pre-alpha.

            Release Notes: The PDU format has been changed to be more simple. The Stub driver supports multiple clients. stub_{rx,tx} threads are stopped correctly. The Stub driver resets a used device.
