Projects / Tetra-WebBBS

Tetra-WebBBS is a follow-up of WebBBS, a Web-based bulletin board (or forum) system originally programmed by Darryl Burgdorf. Tetra-WebBBS lets board users define how they display the message index and the messages. They can tailor the index based on date and/or subject. They can view the index as threaded or unthreaded (flat) lists. They can view the messages in single message or guestbook style. A wide variety of options are available to both the administrator and the users.

Release Notes: %QueryMode was added, which is a spambots blocker. It allows admins to individualize their forums by changing the query strings from "form", "post", "profile", etc. Form requests and post attempts using the default query strings will be rejected, as most likely they are made by bots. The restrictions for search engines and bots were improved. Another spambots blocker was added. Searchbots will see your forum as read-only, profile-disabled, and email-disabled. Various minor fixes were made.
