Sonic Visualiser

Sonic Visualiser is an application for viewing and analysing the contents of music audio files, containing advanced waveform and spectrogram viewers as well as editors for many sorts of audio annotations. It supports sophisticated audio selection, looping, and playback features, as well as the Vamp audio feature extraction plugin format.

    Release Notes: The main focus of this release is to improve editing of note and region layers. It can import MIDI files that use SMPTE timecode for event timing, and optionally display time in seconds and frames at various frame rates throughout. A crash on exit in Windows has been fixed, and a number of other bugfixes are included.

      Release Notes: This release adds a feature for searching descriptions of available and installed plugins; the ability to import and display data defined in RDF using the Audio Features ontology; a Region layer type to display annotations with duration extents; and a number of other bits and bobs.

        Release Notes: This release adds a new spreadsheet-style data viewer and editor for annotation data, and implements saving and reloading for the alignments between audio files. It also contains a number of significant bugfixes and a new, somewhat provisional PulseAudio output driver.
