SubEtha Mail

SubEtha is a sophisticated mailing list manager, similar in many respects to the popular Mailman package but far more feature-rich. SubEtha offers easy installation on Windows and Unix platforms, a user-friendly Web interface, searchable, threaded archives, virtual domains, support for users with multiple email addresses, intelligent attachment handling, configurable message processing filters, per-list role-based permissions, and more.

    Release Notes: SubEtha was ported to Resin 4.0. Many architectural changes were made, but very few features were added. The project has moved to a new home at google code. Fallback SMTP host has been added for a new integration option. Hibernate, Logging, and SubethaSMTP have been added. Updated packaging and docs. Developed and tested on MySQL and PostgreSQL. Allows "sent on behalf of" email. Denser encoding for shorter VERP envelope sender length. Hessian remote protocol support. Indexing and Cleanup start shortly after deployment, and periodically as before. A much smaller memory footprint, and much quicker startup.

      Release Notes: This release works around a a backwards compatibility issue issue where SubEtha would not run on Java 5 because the released code was compiled using Java 6.
