ShowImg is a feature-rich image viewer which can display numerous formats, including JPEG, PNG, GIF (animated) and MNG. It consists of a tree view frame, a directory/preview frame, and a view frame. The (larger) view frame can be exchanged with the (smaller) directory/preview frame. It can preview and display images from multiple directories and search for identical images. ShowImg also features a full-screen mode, zooming, sorting, drag'n'drop with Konqueror, and support for images in compressed archives (.zip).

    Release Notes: A database was added for managing images using KexiD. Support for video files and SVG was added. RAR archives can now be browsed. Many bugs were fixed and the main interface was changed.

          Release Notes: A "cd archive" feature has been added. Kipi plugins ( are now supported. A kpart component has been added. Support for EXIF tags was improved. The bug which was triggered when a "big" directory is loaded has been fixed. The speed for rotation/flip operations have been improved. The "batch rename" feature uses the current order and Unicode chars.

            Release Notes: New translations and documentations have been added. The archive support has been improved. There are more data under thumbnails. Files and directories are sorted using numeric order. The "store thumbnails" option has been added. Bugs have been fixed with KDE 3.2.x compatibility, some compilation rules, and for problems with files containaing '#', '%', and other similar characters.
