Release Notes: Computation of Moment magnitude (Mw) and scalar seismic moment (Mo) was added to the UTILITIES program. Mw and Mo are computed via the mantle magnitude Mm, working at a variable period of between 50 and 400s. The computation of Mw is very straightforward and simple: it just needs the SAC_ASCII files to be located in a directory and for the configuration file to be modified to contain the origin time and hypocenter coordinates. The final result is the average of the magnitudes computed on all stations.

Release Notes: A new utility program was added for converting signals in SAC_ASCII files into audio files (*.wav) very easily. The program allows you to convert many files at once. The sampling frequency can be changed, with the choice of mono or stereo channels. Signals can be filtered or not before conversion into wav format.

Release Notes: Minor changes and code cleanup were done. All the zoom functions have been modified so that only button 1 of the mouse activates zooming (in preparation for future uses of the other mouse buttons).

Release Notes: A minor bug was fixed in tick-mark for the case where the signal duration is exactly 1 day. A new menu item, "export to ASCII", was added in the polarization_3D window. A new program was added in Utilities/GMT for plotting the polarization. The associated 3-components were added in a PostScript file.

Release Notes: Some scripts for GMT functions have been added for plotting the results of POLAR analysis (with MTPA tool) in Utilities programs. In SEED_RESPONSE (in Utilities programs), scripts are provided for plotting the modulus of transfer functions. So all the resulting files can be plotted very easily in PostScript with a single small shell using GMT script.

Release Notes: New tools for spectral estimation were added. A polarization study in the frequency domain is now available. It uses a spectral tool involving MPTA (Multi Prolate Taper Analysis). Tools were also provided for comparing results of spectral estimation with different tapers functions.

Release Notes: A minor bug was corrected in the integrator function to do with the normalisation factor (there were problems with signal high sampling rates). A minor bug was also corrected in Utilities/plot_all_chan.c for when the channel does not have a standard name (N, Z, or E).

Release Notes: Postscript files can now be generated using the plot_3comp.c, plot_current_chan.c, and plot_all_chan.c programs. These programs generate a command_file for GMT (the Generic Mapping Tool software) that is able to create PostScript output for high quality graphics or printing. Export_to_ASCII menus were added for NZE_channels, Current_channel, and ALL_channels, so that the signals can be plotted with other software.
