redWall Firewall

redWall is a bootable CD-ROM firewall which focuses on Web-based reporting of the firewall's status. It includes Snort, snortsam, dansguardian, and support for fwbuilder, squidguard, reporting (using BASE/sarg/ntop/webfwlog), VPN (Openswan/PoPToP/Openvpn), Spam Filtering (spamassassin, dcc, razor2, clamav, amavis-new, dspam and maia mailguard), and mail-based, alerting. Configuration data are stored on a floppy or USB disk.

    Release Notes: Octopussy, syslog loganalyzer, and graylog2 have been added. Regular Gentoo updates have been installed. Some major bugs have been fixed. Also, this release contains a new script called "rw_dconf", which helps while migrating configurations from previous releases.

      Release Notes: Many updates have been applied. An "easy configuration" script has been added for postfix/spamfiltering. The way that the Web applications are managed has changed.

        Release Notes: Various components have been updated and a few features have been implemented.

          Release Notes: A whole lot of new features have been added. vuurmuur has been installed again. The initial setup has been rewritten to be like a step-by-step configuration. A webmin module for openvpn has been added. A comprehensive reverse proxy called vultureng has been added. Major bugfixes have been applied.

            Release Notes: This version is based on Gentoo. Major work has been performed in porting the Red Hat-based 1.2.x branch to the 2.2.x branch. Many features have been added and upgraded. All major components are now up to date. Configuration management is done with unionfs. The save-config mechanism has been improved.
