Projects / Recon

Recon is an SSL audit tool, checking for common, certificate-related errors in SSL-enabled services. Provide it a list of SSL services for which you are responsible, run it periodically, and Recon will warn you of impending certificate expirations, mismatched certificate names, and unavailable services.

Release Notes: Recon now features SSL certificate checks of POP3 and SMTP daemons which provide cleartext and encrypted traffic on the same port (that is, services which take a "STARTTLS" instruction to initiate SSL/TLS communications). It also supports per-service proxy definitions.

Release Notes: In addition to some bugfixes, this release of Recon includes I18N (native language) support. Volunteer translators are encouraged to visit the project Web site for details on how to donate their skills.
