Quattor is a tool suite for the automatic installation, configuration, and management of computer networks and clusters based on Linux. Quattor facilitates centralized management of configuration information (with a new powerful language), configuration information validation (before its deployment), automatic installation and configuration of new machines, configuration management of common services (such as user accounts, grub, iptables, NFS, and SSH), software package management (installations, upgrades, and downgrades), and many more things.

    Release Notes: A new set of Pan templates supports full namespaces, allowing hierarchical trees of configuration files. The Pan compiler has been completely rewritten in Java. This release has been extended to support MEGARAID devices and non-destructive installations, allowing Quattor to co-exist with other operating systems. CDB supports dead revisions and selective rollback and parallel compilation of target node profiles.
