qSheff is a wrapper for the qmail queue that scans email for viruses and spam. After checking the message, it will wake the qmail queue. It is a replacement program for qscanq and RAV antivirus. It is simple and more powerful. It features the ability to quarantine, very nice logging, subject filtering, a blackhole, easy installation, and white/black lists.

    Release Notes: Minor bugs were fixed. A Solaris compilation problem was fixed.

      Release Notes: Some typos regarding the custom prog feature were fixed. The quarantine problem was fixed. qSheff can now handle separate blackholes for spams and viruses.

        Release Notes: This release adds a new log field: Rejected file name by attach filter. This release performs virus checking before spam checking.

          Release Notes: The source code was forked as qsheff-II. The source tree was rearranged. The subject filter has changed into a flexible header filter. A spool directory growth problem was solved. A snprintf problem seen in Linux was solved. A clamd permission problem was solved. djb.c was added, which contains DJB codes. Parameters may now be passed to external sofware. The wblist module was deleted. An ignore list was added. A virus labeling feature was added. The X-qSheff-Match header was added. A syslogging capability was added, along with the previous qsheff.log file. The autotools macros were rewritten.

            Release Notes: A new feature allows you to filter any line in the header. "h" is used for the header rules instead of the subject rules.
