PyDBDesigner is an entity-relation (ERW) database modeling tool for both Windows and Unix/Linux. It is similar to Power Designer or Erwin, and both physical and logical models are supported. Its main features are database modeling, SQL generation, documentation generation, and reverse engineering. PyDBDesigner is intended to be a GUI design tool for the ERW (entities and relations on the Web) project.

    Release Notes: Two major changes were made. New postgres and mysql datatypes were added, and the quality of displaying the model was improved. Also, some minor fixes were done.

      Release Notes: Printing has been improved so that it prints correctly to many pages with 1-inch margins. Some datatypes were added (decimal, float, blob). "Save as..." now warns if the destination file exists (as it is usual for applications). Some minor fixes were also made.

        Release Notes: An SQL generation feature has been added. Properties can be "Not null" and "editable".

          Release Notes: This is mostliy a bugfix release that targets several issues such as bug in deletion of relations and pressing "New". Also, users can toggle the labels on relations. Other enhancements include the relation generator's new ability to generate keys for N-M type relations.

            Release Notes: This release is able to create relations with composite keys. The fields in the relation are shown on the diagram. Some bugs are fixed as well.
