Play it slowly

Play it slowly is a program to play back audio files at a different speed or pitch. It allows you to loop over a certain part of a file. It's intended to help you learn or transcribe songs. It can also play videos thanks to gstreamer.

    Release Notes: This release fixes compatibility with Ubuntu 10.10 and another issue with unknown MIME types.

      Release Notes: This version features an improved UI. The settings are now saved for each file individually. A fine tuner and a "recent files" button have been added. All known bugs have been fixed and a Debian package is now available.

        Release Notes: This release is compatible with Python 2.6 (and therefore Ubuntu 9.04) and features new keyboard shortcuts and a back button. The setup routine has been improved and a file to be opened can now be passed as argument.

          Release Notes: This release fixes all known bugs. The state of the UI is now saved when the application is closed. The speed scale allows more accurate steps of 0.05, and the pitch scale is now using semitones as units. There is a new command line argument called --sink.
