Release Notes: New output formating and a partial fix for the Naive Sign and Encrypt problem have been implemented. The documentation has been updated. Pine is no longer confused by errors produced by the encryption backend; errors are reported to the user. Mktemp is now recommended but not required. The build process has been fixed and improved. PinePGP should now work much better on Solaris (but bash, not just sh, has to be installed). For users of version 0.17.3, there are no technical reasons to upgrade.

        •  11 Oct 2001 20:04

Release Notes: The build process has been updated, especially the 'configure' part. It should behave properly if some vital requirement is not fulfiled. A check for 'bash' has been added, as 'bash' is the key requirement of bash scripts.

          •  02 Oct 2001 19:41

Release Notes: The C preprocessor is used to "build" scripts. Filters now add horizontal rules at the begining and end of signed and/or encrypted messages, so it is more clear what's signed/encrypted and what's not. Filters now also do not pass an error to Pine when a message is checked, so (for example) Pine does not lock when a signed message is checked if the key of the signer is not in keyring. Filters should now work under Solaris.
