Omnia XP

Omnia XP is a remastering of Debian GNU/Linux 5.0 Lenny, with a visual interface easily adapted for deployment in small businesses and end users by facilitating migration to the Linux world. It supports a total of 12 architectures and runs from a live CD with an option for installing to a hard disk.

    Release Notes: New visuals and a new GDM. Better detection of hardware. Speed improvements. The image remains small (below 500 MB). Pidgin, a terminal server client, and a new Firefox theme and add-on (FireFTP). Updates to all packages. An icon for the installation disk. Installation in graphical mode. Some bugfixes.

      Release Notes: This release adds support for Java by default. It adds a tool for installing programs (gnome-app-install). has been removed (to install, access System> Administration> Add / Remove Application). Boot speed has been increased. The image is only 430 MB.

      We are preparing for the next version of the Omnia, which will be launched in June, some nice changes in the art of desktop, remove references to the Microsoft logo mark and use a new look created by Robin tuqueque or professional designer from Venezuela, the new art of Omnia is being created and we are pleased with its evolution, some screenshots below for the new version.

      We also inform that Omnia is in the portal development team for the Winter Labs company, which will be developed in Ruby on Rails.

      Installer is improved.

      There are 2 versions Workstation - CD with software and basic DVD with different software.

      We are preparing a version server for LTSP terminal server - the name of Omnia Terminal Server.
