Notepas is a multi-platform text editor written in Lazarus which can be compiled for multiple platforms and widget sets using the advanced native Free Pascal Compiler. Aimed at developers, it has some functions usually not found in other text editors and introduces some new exclusive features.

    Release Notes: A memory leak was fixed in the XML formatter, and it was replaced with a faster XML engine. A problem with parsing command line parameters was fixed. Basic macro recording support was added. A problem with the last line being shown twice in CodeFilter was fixed. Copy of selected lines to the clipboard was fixed in CodeFilter. Highlighter assignment is now automatic when opening selections in a new view. Some occasions where focus was unjustly lost from the active view were fixed. Editor settings were reorganized and some modifications were made in the menu structure. Many new editor options were added. Toolview handling was optimized.

        Release Notes: This release adds shortcuts for close actions. It adds new CompressSpace and CompressWhitespace actions. Matching text is shown in the resultlist when search with regex is enabled. A new feature has been added: selection toolbar. An improved editor popup menu. Many optimizations for speed and reduced memory footprint. SortLines toolview. An improved search tool. A new feature to merge blank lines in a selection. A new feature to remove comments from a selection. Many fixes.

          Release Notes: Fixes active view handling when UniqueInstance is enabled. Some cosmetic changes. Fixes handling of files with extensions in uppercase. Refactored editor commands. Fixes DefaultFilter assignment in the file save dialog. Improves the file list dialog. The Esc key closes the current toolview. A new actFindOccurences action (Shift+Ctrl+F). Fixes a bug in assignment of search options. Adds actFindNext/actFindPrevious. Fixes Views toolview: grid should be read-only. Adds Encode/Decode submenus for selections. Adds new filetype-highlighter mappings.

            Release Notes: This is the first version to be released for multiple platforms. Currently, you can download portable archives for both Linux and Windows in 32 and 64 bit versions.
