Netdiscover is a network address discovering tool that was developed mainly for those wireless networks without DHCP servers, though it also works on wired networks. It sends ARP requests and sniffs for replies.

    Release Notes: This release implements a new screen interface, fixing display errors and supporting scrolling for large hosts lists. It also display arp requests/replies on separate screens. A manual page has been added. The installation path has been changed to sbin. The packet length count has been fixed, and there are some other minor fixes.

      Release Notes: This release implements better error handling and auto-selects an interface if none was given. Code comments were added and some functions were removed. Sniffer packet processing was redone. Packet length count may be broken in this release.

        Release Notes: This release added a "-c" request count option, some screen display changes, support for decimal sleep times, some changes to support GCC 2.95, a customizable array for IPs scanned on fast mode, and changes to scanning loops and sleep time that make scans slower by default, but safer and less likely to experience packet loss. Usage parameters were simplified.
