    Release Notes: Instead of using Swing's default fonts, you now can use custom Freetype fonts for better text rendering. Instead of using Java's ScriptEngineManager, which fails on some JRE/JDK versions, the Rhino JavaScript engine is now used as a plugin.

      Release Notes: This release adds Input Method support. It supports on-the-spot pre-editing of CJK IME on Windows and Linux. The IME support is not perfect in Java Swing currently, but Neoeedit does the same as Swing JTextComponent. There are some small enhancements.

        Release Notes: Fonts, Colors, and Shortcut Keys are configurable. Edit the config file "~/.neoeedit/" to change them as you like.

          Release Notes: New feature: press and hold the Ctrl key for 1 second, and a help panel will show up. Almost all the commands are shown as buttons on the panel. This makes life easier for new users, before remembering dozens of the keyboard shortcuts.

            Release Notes: This release adds a launcher for Windows. You need to install Java on your machine anyway. There are also some bugfixes and enhancements.
