Projects / mcGuestbook

mcGuestbook is a simple guestbook that allows your visitor to show an image, like a little banner, with his/her message, modify all the design parameters through a password protected administration panel, and delete unwanted messages. Optionally mcGuestbook sends you email when new messages are submitted. The installation is fully automated, with English and French currently supported.

        Do not use this... thing!
It will happily blast your password file all over the internet. Or any other file the web server can read, for that matter

        Unequivocally the best guestbook...
i've lost count of how many guestbooks i've looked at over the past few weeks but a Freshmeat search for guestbooks puts this one at 31 of 36. Gosh its good, its so easy to install, after mucking around with apache::asp and cpan to get others to work on my mandrake 8 box this one installed in under 15minutes. NO OBSCURE PHP ERRORS NO MYSQL PRIVILIGES ERRORS nothing!!! it worked first time. The instructions are simple (english & french), all the files are included, the configuration is simple. Its almost as though the author has actually tested it on a few different boxes before releasing it. WELL DONE!!
