The manpages package contains a large collection of man pages for Linux covering programming APIs, file formats, protocols, etc.

    Release Notes: Many math pages had their synopses compressed, many minor content and formatting bugfixes were made to the math pages, all instances of "super-user" were changed to the more common "superuser", and typographical or grammatical errors have been corrected in several other places.

      Release Notes: POSIX versions of several man pages were added in sections 0p, 1p, and 3p. Updates were made for clone(2), getrlimit(2), mkdir(2), outb(2), signal(2), des_crypt(3), errno(3), frexp(3), gamma(3), getgrent(3), and rand(3). dlopen(3) and friends were updated. New additions include remap_file_pages(2), sstk(2), addseverity(3), aio_cancel(3), aio_error(3), aio_fsync(3), aio_read(3), aio_return(3), aio_suspend(3), aio_write(3), cfree(3), fmtmsg(3), mempcpy(3), strtoimax(3) and friends, wordexp(3), elf(5), sk98llin(4), getgrent_r(3) and friends, and shadow password routines.

        Release Notes: Updates have been made to recv(2), send(2), atexit(3), basename(3), bsearch(3), div(3), memchr(3), onexit(3), and random(4).

          Release Notes: Several updates on POSIX defines were made, and posixoptions(7) was added. statvfs(2), clock_getres(3) and friends, and operator(7) were added. statfs(2), fdatasync(2), getlogin(3), posix_memalign(3), sysconf(3), and host.conf(5) were updated.

            Release Notes: Updates were made to futex(2), lseek(2), mmap2(2), modify_ldt(2), open(2), reboot(2), sigaction(2), statfs(2), ustat(2), inet_ntop(3), and insque(3). pciconfig_read(2) and friends, ffsl(3), and ffsll(3) were added.
