Projects / Majordomo

Majordomo is a program which automates the management of Internet mailing lists. Commands are sent to Majordomo via electronic mail to handle all aspects of list maintainance. Once a list is set up virtually all operations can be performed remotely, requiring no intervention by the postmaster of the list site.

Release Notes: Fixes have been added for 'restrict_post = #!$list' substitution and blank lines in config files, for header corruption when Subject: is blank and subject tags are used, for digest_rm_fronter and digest_rm_footer (which now work), and for bounce, which had an innocuous y2k bug and wanted a 'bounces' list password even when called as unsub. unsubcribe_policy now has a +confirm feature, now makes archives world readable, more hostile address checking has been added, a better description of the moderator function is available, better error reporting is now made when is wrong, detection is made of some attachments sent as commands, approve commands can now span lines, and resend has better messages for taboo_headers problems.
