kivitendo, formerly known as Lx-Office, is a Web-based accounting system tailored for the German market (e.g., tax calculation). It can export accounting data in the German DATEV format and features invoicing, sales orders, quotes, etc. Forms are generated on the fly as PDF or OpenDocument documents.

    Release Notes: The project's name has changed from "Lx-Office" to "kivitendo". Several options can now be configured on a per-database level instead of per-installation. Major new features include a sales report, a delivery plan, and sales price information overviews. Minor new features include an updated XtCommerce interface, user-defined variables for contacts, sending mails via SMTP, and controlling the task server from the Web. More than 100 bugs have been fixed.

      Release Notes: Import functionality has been rewritten. SEPA transactions were updated to generate v2.5. Additional sets of print templates were added that are easier to maintain for experienced users. Several small enhancements and additions were made. Numerous security issues and bugs have been addressed.

        Release Notes: One big new feature, recurring invoices, was added. Several usage enhancements were made. Numerous bugs have been fixed.

          Release Notes: SEPA transactions have extended to handle direct debit. FastCGI is now supported for improved performance. Several security issues involving printer commands have been addressed. Usability improvements and bugfixes were made.

            Release Notes: European SEPA transactions have been added. The existing feature for exporting to DATEV (a German accountants organization) has been greatly improved. Custom variables have been extended to be used in inventory control. A lot of work has been done to raise the quality of code, starting by refactoring the program to use Perl's strict mode. Known security and stability issues have also been addressed, to prepare for greater changes in upcoming releases. Finally, dependencies and documentation have been reviewed for consistency.
