LaserCalc is a tool to calculate optical paths and resonators based on Gaussian beam matrix optics. Optical elements such as lenses or distances can be set up to an optical path. An input beam parameter (z & w value) as well as the wavelength can be set. The programm calculates the propagation of the beam along the path. For an optical resonator, the TEM00 Eigenmode of a given wavelength is automatically calculated. Furthermore, a stability parameter is derived.

    Release Notes: Besides several bugfixes, the workfile handling and the import/export function have been improved. A new module, "Lens Designer", and new element, "ABCD matrix", have been added.

      Release Notes: Various code cleanups and optimizations now lead to 30% calculation speedup and less memory consumption. This version supports the import of ZEMAX (R) work files. Many bugs have been fixed.

        Release Notes: A new optical element (TickLens) has been added, which simulates a "real" optical lens with a front and back (curved) surface as well as a glass material. Furthemore, a material catalog has been added with a list of commonly used optical glasses. Dozens of details have been improved (particularly the plotting system) and many bugs have been fixed.

          Release Notes: This version introduces a new plot system and the possibility to save and load your workbench. As always, many bugs have been fixed.

            Release Notes: This release comes with an improved optic editor. Two new modules (Resonator Stability Analysis and Data Variation Analysis) have been added. Optical paths can now be nested. As always, many bugs have been fixed.
