Kadu is a QT-based client for Gadu-Gadu, a Polish messenger application similar to AIM or ICQ. It's based on libgadu, a reverse-engineered Unix API for Gadu-Gadu, and implements most features of the original.

    Release Notes: The code has been almost completely rewritten from Qt3 library classes to Qt4 classes. The former build system has been replaced by modern cross-platform CMake. Support for the WebKit engine has been added to the chat window and information panel, which allows better configuration possibilities. Official support for Mac OS X is considerably improved.

      Release Notes: The user's experience can now be entirely customized: toolbars have been made configurable, text areas and labels accept CSS formatting and pseudo-markup language, and much more. The release also features a great number of small and groundbreaking fixes and speedups, including the addressing of two potential DoS vulnerabilities.

        Release Notes: A severe vulnerability in the network layer has been fixed, disabling remote malicious code execution. Behavior on MacOS X has improved, including text formatting, autoloading of modules, etc.

          Release Notes: Major bugfixes and performance improvements, improved modularity, protocol compatibility, new wizard functionality, and improvement configuration management.

            Release Notes: Graphical messages support has been implemented (both for sending and receiving). Support for proxy has been extended to SMS sending. A module auto-download feature has been introduced. Many dialog boxes have been redesigned for better functionality.
