jQuery.Syntax is an extremely fast and lightweight syntax highlighter. It has dynamic loading of syntax source files and integrates cleanly using CSS or modelines. Plugins are available for DokuWiki and WordPress.

    Release Notes: This release adds bugfixes and compatibility improvements.

      Release Notes: Inline syntax highlighting is now supported using tags. A shorthand form of brush names is supported. Many minor bug fixes and usability improvements were done. Documentation and examples were improved. Support was added for Java, Basic, Lisp, and a few other languages.

      Amusing choice of license, considering that jQuery itself is licensed under the MIT license, and it recommends (but doesn't enforce) that license for plugins. This is also incompatible with GPLv2.
