InSite is a Perl-based tool for managing Web site content. It performs link verification and content monitoring, and is extremely fast because it translates all URLs to local pathnames and reads the files from the local disk. It also verifies remote links in parallel.

    Release Notes: A new -x option to allow for specifying a config file, new $DATA_DIR and $TMPDIR in (by setting these differently in different config files, this should allow InSite to run concurrently with multiple config files) a new ability to handle BASE HREF="" tags, addition of $SERVER_NAME to e-mail sent by InSite so that you can differentiate between different instances of InSite, and removal of $queued_db from (hardcoded to $TMPDIR/queued).

      Release Notes: Better classification of the nebulous 500 errors by breaking them into "malformed URL", "no DNS", "no HTTP", and "some HTTP", configurability to wait a specified period and then retry all URLs which resulted in server errors (which might cut down on the number of transientserver errors that get reported), and a number of bugfixes.
