Projects / hostable32v

hostable32v is an attempt to turn Unix 32v into a guest service that will run under any POSIX-like OS. A possible long-term goal is to run it under oslib or oskit. Unix 32v is an ancient version of Unix which was originally a port of Seventh Edition UNIX to the VAX platform.

Release Notes: This release adds better support for Unix hosts. It doesn't like OpenBSD and FreeBSD due to a mmap collision, but runs under Solaris, OpenWatcom, NetBSD, Nextstep, and probably others.

Release Notes: This release includes a messy first attempt at a block driver. It also includes a mkfs program that was derived from v6_on_286.

Release Notes: This release compiles, and almost runs. Device drivers (or good documents on "strategy"-based device drivers) are desperately needed.
