Hirudo is a Java Swing application for leeching Web content. It features a multipurpose workspace where links can be extracted from a URL, manipulated, and filtered. The workspace can also be used to generate filename ranges. Other features include editable Referer and User Agent headers, a reliable download manager, and comprehensive user preferences.

    Release Notes: This release is a complete rewrite of the application. The main benefits of this rewrite are improved parsing and downloading classes and a clear separation of the networking classes from the user interface.

      Release Notes: This release includes new functionality to create, apply, save, and manage filename filters in the Scraper/Generator results lists. Window size and position are now saved in user Preferences, all text buttons have been replaced with icons and placed in Tool Bars, a Splash screen has been added, a new button for stopping the download process has been added, and unsupported characters in URLs are now encoded. There are also numerous bugfixes and tweaks.

        Release Notes: This version features a vastly improved download manager that shows the URL, status, progress, file size, percentage complete, speed, time elapsed, time remaining, file type, and response code. There are also numerous user interface improvements, functionality improvements, and bugfixes.

          Release Notes: New features include the ability to import and export Preferences, support for authentication with username/password in a URL, improved message reporting to the status bar, and more preferences including referer spoofing and user agent spoofing. The screen scraper now runs in a separate thread, HTTP headers can be dumped to the log window, and the program structure and usability of the download manager have been greatly improved. There are numerous bugfixes.

            Release Notes: This version includes a new Downloads view that shows download progress, file size, and content type. The delete key now implements "Remove Selected" functionality. There was also a new filename generator view, an improved package structure, and improved error reporting.

            very nice
            I was wondering if there is some way to import 'scraped' urls

            into the download queue? Also, on my ibook with OS X

            10.3.5 running at 1024x768, the URL and Referrer boxes are

            hardly visible. Thanks!
