Release Notes: This release offers support for almost 70 new printers, full support for CUPS 1.2 (including extended attributes and on the fly PPD file generation), corrected support for borderless printing to Epson printers, the ability to choose resizing rather than cropping when printing from CUPS, and more. The Mac OS X binary is much faster in some cases on PPC Macs than the initial 5.0 binary. All users of Gutenprint 5.0.0 should upgrade.

Release Notes: This release features major fixes and enhancements based on beta/rc feedback. All supported printers are supported explicitly, without the need for a compatibility list. The CUPS and Foomatic/IJS drivers now produce correctly dimensioned and proportioned output. Many crash problems have been fixed. A major performance problem with some Epson printers has been fixed. Color quality for many Epson printers has been improved. Escputil is more robust. A universal Mac OS X binary has been added.

Release Notes: This is the second beta release leading up to Gimp-Print 5.0. This release offers direct printing to CDs for Epson printers that support this capability, better color generation, improved tuning for many Epson printers, additional options for dye sublimation printers, and many bugfixes. It is recommended that all users of 4.3 and 5.0 alpha and beta releases upgrade to this release.
