Projects / GOfax

GOfax provides an extensible fax solution and works in conjunction with Hylafax. User information is held in LDAP trees to provide centralized administration. It has built-in plugin support (i.e., for different image formats, send/receive methods, logging, etc.).

Release Notes: This release adds annotations for received faxes (completely untested and buggy), and a binaries check to bin/check_system. The PNG converter plugin has been replaced with Imagmagick, German locales have been improved and the installer updated. Workaround(s) have been added for SuSE 10.OSS. An initial RPM spec file has been added, and its now possible to add comments to sent faxes. ldap_find -l should only print fax numbers, and faxAlternateAddress works again.

Release Notes: Some small changes because of the introduction of GOsa2. Usage of old capi4hylafax is optional. There are configuration file changes, a very simple installer, renaming of delivery mods (which makes writing of plugins easier), Cajus's hylafax-4.1.2-pam.diff, and a debian/ directory to build Debian packages. Notify cause is timedout, not timeout. Uncommon characters in received caller IDs are mostly handled correctly now. The default action is now to send the fax when no send-mod is available.
