GNU Enterprise Forms

GNU Enterprise Forms is a platform and UI-independent forms system. It reads an XML-based forms definition and creates GUIs for Win32 and GTK. It has a fully data aware widget set and can be used in both 2-tier and n-tier environments.

    Release Notes: This release features a native Win32 user interface, improved Windows packaging, support for embeddable components (Bonobo and OLE), support for print screen, and miscellaneous enhancements and bugfixes.

      Release Notes: Various fixes were back-ported from CVS, the sloppyQuery tag was reimplemented, updates to curses support were included, and work was made on the menu bars. isSaved(), isEmpty(), lastRecord(), firstRecord(), executeQuery(), commit(), and rollback() functions were also added.

        Release Notes: Query-by-detail-block support was implemented. A preliminary curses driver was added. Improvements were made to the GTK2 driver. The developer API was improved by adding a global trigger namespace and many new convenience functions. The checkbox support was reworked. Updates were made to support GNUe Common 0.4.1. Various user-feedback improvements were made. Many bugs were fixed.

          Release Notes: Changes to GNUe-Forms 0.3.0 include modularization of UI drivers, moving of trigger logic into gnue-common, the addition of new triggers (pre-insert, pre-update, pre-delete, and pre-commit), a virtual key mapping system, moving Field Display/Keystroke logic out of the UI drivers, clipboard support, two-way messages, Go To First Record / Go To Last Record support, and the beginning of translations using Common's new GetText support. Field values are now typecast in accordance with the new DataObject changes in gnue-common. The forms event model has been improved, and there are lots of bugfixes.
