Release Notes: This release adds Wigner-Seitz cells for hR rhombohedral lattices, improves stereographic projection for crystallographic planes and directions, improves reciprocal lattice functionality, and starts measuring plane properties (distance between planes, etc.).

Release Notes: A couple of serious bugs in space groups, reciprocal lattice, and Voronoi tessellation were fixed. The Plane->Select, Plane->Remove, Direction->Select, and Direction->Remove dialogs were implemented and are working. The Plane->Create and Direction->Create dialogs are now more functional, robust, and user-friendly.

Release Notes: Crystallographic plane and direction objects were started. Stereographic projection is working, including Wulff projections (mostly used in Materials Science) and Schmidt projections (mostly used in Geological Sciences). A bug was fixed in the Euler angles code.

Release Notes: The 3D Voronoi code has been reviewed, and a serious bug in the analysis section removed. The way Light shininess is handled has been improved. An environment variable has been added so that solid fonts can now be easily found. The code for exporting to raster .ps files has been cleaned up (and related usability issues with it clarified).

Release Notes: This release improves the code to handle text fonts. From the user's point of view, solid (extruded) and wired (stroked) 3D fonts are now handled exactly in the same way. Documentation was added for Text, Light and Cell objects, for both XML formats, and for GTK dialogs. Rhombohedral cells are now defined with conventional (hexagonal) cell parameters.

Release Notes: Text and Light properties can now be configured, both from GUI dialogs and XML files. Solid (extruded) 3D fonts from Truetype faces can now be created/modified from GUI dialogs and imported/exported to XML files. The font engine is new: GAMGI now maintains OpenGL compiled lists only for the glyphs in use, not for the whole font, as before (for simpler stroked fonts).

Release Notes: Solid TrueType extruded fonts, that can be rotated, scaled, and enlightened just as a molecule, are now working.

Release Notes: Reciprocal lattices can now be determined for all 14 Crystallographic Bravais lattices. The new reciprocal lattice is shown in a new, opaque, layer. The other properties of the direct lattice object, including position and orientation, are replicated in the reciprocal lattice object. A bug in the code converting primitive to conventional axes in Rombohedric lattices has been fixed.

Release Notes: This release supports the 230 crystallographic space groups, and can be used for example to perform point symmetry and 3D Voronoi analysis. It supports multiple windows, layers, and lights, and offers maximum control over even low-level objects as atoms, bonds, and text objects. It comes with extensive XHTML documentation that can be seen with a browser or GAMGI itself, from the local computer or from a remote HTTP or FTP site. It also comes with hundreds of files describing relevant molecules, clusters, and cells, in GAMGI XML native format, that can be imported directly.
