Freech is a fast and mature discussion forum without useless bells and whistles. Freech may be integrated into your own Web site or used through an API. Freech uses a threaded layout to remove some of the restrictions of flat forums. The development follows the design of the popular newsticker, "Heise Online", while maintaining performance and stability. UTF-8 is fully supported.

Release Notes: Multi-forum support and a completely new front page were added. The design of the forum has been simplified and optimized for smaller screen resolutions. All pages are now XHTML1.0 (strict) compliant. Activities of moderators are logged on a dedicated page, and moderators may now lock/unlock other users. Spam handling and detection were greatly improved. The forum renders a lot faster by allowing the browser to cache more pages. A large number of bugfixes are included.

A search function was added and it is now possible to start polls.
