WorldForge::Eris is designed to simplify client development (and avoid duplicating effort) by providing a common framework to deal with server communications for the WorldForge project.

    Release Notes: The ability to connect to a local socket has been added. Support for connecting using a “sys” account was added. The library now handles the avatar being deleted.

      Release Notes: The metaserver code has been rewritten. Issues with Windows XP have been resolved. Calendar and time support now handles 64-bit time values.

        Release Notes: Terrain handling has been updated to work with the modified Mercator API.

          Release Notes: The API has been updated to provide features for the latest Ember. The test subsystem has been updated. The metaserver code has been fixed to deal with over 139 running servers.

            Release Notes: Optimizations to the MetaServer, which will improve performance when querying for servers. Support for server side spawn points when creating new characters. Allow for clients to create local Entity instances not bound to any server. Build fixes for gcc 4.4.
