The ext2fsprogs package contains essential ext2 filesystem utilities which consists of e2fsck, mke2fs, debugfs, dumpe2fs, tune2fs, and most of the other core ext2 filesystem utilities.

Many bugs were fixed, including several potential crashes and some invalid fixes to files in uncommon situations (no lost+found when reconnecting a directory, and journal replay with alt superblock). There are several fixes to journal inode location and superblock backups, bad-blocks, and indirect block corruption handling. This release works again on FreeBSD and has fixes for Darwin.
