Release Notes: The main change for this version is support for internationalized DNS (IDN). Non-ASCII characters in domain names found in /etc/hosts, /etc/ethers, and /etc/dnsmasq.conf will be correctly handled by translation to punycode, as specified in RFC3490. There are also minor enhancements to TFTP and PXE handling, and a bugfix that re-enables DHCP relay agent options.

Release Notes: There are two security fixes. One issue allowed a crafted malformed TFTP packet to crash dnsmasq with a NULL pointer dereference. The other allowed a crafted TFTP packet to overflow the heap by the length of the TFTP prefix.

Release Notes: This is a point release primarily to fix a regression in version 2.48 that broke the --dhcp-script function. Anyone running 2.48 and needing this should upgrade to 2.49; other 2.48 installations need not bother.

Release Notes: The main addition in this release is additional support for the PXE protocol. Dnsmasq can now send boot menus to a PXE client and act as a fully-fledged PXE boot sever. There are also logging improvements and some minor bugfxes.

Release Notes: Bugs fixed include NetBSD 5.0 compatibility, DBus configuration, and network interface binding. Additional features include more flexible encapsulated DHCP options (for gPXE), better DHCP packet matching facilities, and IP address rewriting.

Release Notes: This release adds two frequently-requested features: ability to handle more than one DNS domain, and static DHCP address assignment to more than one MAC address (for laptops with both wired and wireless networking). There are also enhancements to the DBus interface and a (limited) facility to return CNAME DNS records.

Release Notes: This release fixes a major problem in 2.44 where the DNS function failed unless the --min-port flag was given.

Release Notes: This is a stability release. It fixes crash problems in 2.43. The crashes occurred when a DHCP client renewed a non-existent lease for an invalid subnet, when a DHCP client that does not have a lease performed a DHCPINFORM, and when the network configuration changed.

Release Notes: This release fixes the DNS spoofing vulnerabilities announced in CERT VU#800113. It adds source port randomization for communication with upstream nameservers and replaces the C library PRNG with stronger code. It makes failure to drop root privileges a hard error (previous versions would log the error and continue, running as root.) Other changes include an update to avoid triggering Linux kernel messages about an out-of-date capabilities ABI, support for NAPTR records, and RFC 5107 server-id-override.
