Cronopete aims to be a full clone of Apple's Time Machine backup program. It's written in Vala and uses GTK2 or GTK3.

    Release Notes: This release adds .deb packages for Gtk2 and adds text in the buttons of the restore interface. It fixes colors in symbolic icons, compilation under Gtk2, the background painting in the restore interface, and the scroll and icons in the restore interface.

      Release Notes: This release adds a new restoring interface which allows using internal non-removable drives (for testing), adds new icons based on the -symbolic standard, fixes the bug which made the restore window grow each time the user changed the folder, and changes the DBus bus from com.backup.cronopete to com.rastersoft.cronopete.

        Release Notes: No longer recreates the menu in the system bar each time something changes, but takes advantage of the capabilities of libappindicator (when used). D-Bus activation has been added to launch Cronopete when opening the configuration icon. CMake files have been modified to ensure that the autostart file is copied to the right place even when using a non-standard folder. The Vala CMake files are included. Control files have been added for PPA repositories with .deb packages for Ubuntu and Elementary OS.

          Release Notes: Simplified messages. New graphics. A progress bar for each file being restored. Uses GConf to store the configuration. Now shows only external devices when asking for a drive. A .PLUG file for Elementary OS compatibility. Allows you to show or hide the icon in the main bar. Migrated to CMake. Optional support for libappindicator.

            Release Notes: This release can be compiled against GTK2 or GTK3 and preserves the file extension when restoring a file.
