checksuite is a suite of programs that provide notification and assistance with day-to-day system administration tasks. The programs monitor system resources as well as some security aspects on a system and can be run automatically from cron and configured with various options.

    Release Notes: More criteria were added for [checkzombie] not to report false positives. Small code cleanups were made.

      Release Notes: Issues with [checkzombie] reporting false positives and the help subroutine in [checkdisk] were fixed. The cron run time for [checkzombie] was adjusted to not conflict with other components.

        Release Notes: Link manipulation with checklinks was fixed so that symbolic links with spaces in their names will not be skipped. The routine for pulling process data for zombied procs was rewritten. An exclude option was added for checkdisk.

          Release Notes: Two new programs were added for checking for broken symbolic links and for processes that are in state "Z". A few other fixes were made.

            Release Notes: This release adds two more false positives to checkhardware, as well as a disclaimer. "Disk Usage by Content" is fixed for a specific directory in checkdisk. A threshold parameter has been added to checksyn for the amount of times an IP is found to be SYN flooding until they get blocked. There is some code cleanup.
