Candle App Platform is an XML-centric rich application development platform for both desktops and the Internet. It supports technologies like XSLT, XQuery, XML Scheme, XUpdate, XHTML, and SVG, and a new scripting language - Candle (Common ApplicatioN Development LanguagE).

    Release Notes: This release adds built-in array support, NaN and infinity support in floating numbers, some markup and query syntax cleanup, multi-thread and HTTP1.1 Keep-alive support by the Candle Web server, and a more robust Candle Web server which can support hundreds of concurrent accesses.

      Release Notes: This release makes Candle runs on Windows x64, Ubuntu x64, and Fedora, adds various enhancements to the Candle Web server (including file upload support), and adds various syntax cleanups and bugfixes.

        Release Notes: The major new and enhanced features in this release are support for anonymous objects, support for the SWIG interface, allowing Candle to be embedded in Java and Python, basic OOP support, datetime arithmetic and duration support, basic XQuery support, and support for query operators including union, intersect, except, some, and every.

          Release Notes: This release adds support for the new Candle Object Notation (which unifies the XML markup data model with the OOP object data model), adds support for anonymous functions, completes node constructor support, cleans Candle Namespace support, allows a statement function to be called as an expression, and cleans file operation routines on Linux.

            Release Notes: Support for XPath, XSLT, and XQuery was unified. Unified pattern support was implemented, which can match BNF-like grammar and RELAXNG-like schema. The candle command line version has been ported to Linux. A simple Web server was added, which enables Candle to be used for server-side scripting.
